What happens after the European Capital of Culture year ends? Nine countries, including Latvia and the team of Liepāja2027, have joined forces in the ECoC Echo legacy project, led by our dear friends and partners Tartu 2024.

At the beginning of June, Liepāja 2027’s Community Engagement Project Manager Justīne Rusakova participated in the “Access Day” conference at Tammistu Manor in the Tartu region, Estonia.

To enrich the programme of Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027 with innovative, cross-sectoral, contemporary and outstanding cultural events, hence boosting the international cooperation, the Liepāja 2027 Foundation is launching an open international competition for the co-financing of cultural and artistic initiatives.

At the beginning of June our team visited Bourges 2028 — the French city that will take over the European Capital of Culture title from Liepāja at the end of 2027.
