Plan your trip:

On Thursday, November 12, those interested will have the opportunity to visit artist Eva Vēvere’s residency in Rucava, at the “Sudrabi” apartment complex. Here, too, the artistic process takes shape through a dialogue with people, their everyday experiences, and their individual stories.

Eva Vēvere is a visual artist and creator of international art projects; she works in installation, drawing, as well as photography and video. She creates interactive, performative works in which viewer participation is an essential part of the piece. She has long been working within the framework of the Poetic Robotism concept – together with Laura Prikule, organizing exhibitions in collaboration with various Latvian art institutions and independent curators. She develops new art education projects and artist-led workshops for museums, schools, and cultural platforms both in Latvia and abroad, and introduces contemporary art to diverse segments of society, fostering collaboration across the cultural, public health, and integration sectors.

The workshop will also feature writer Laura Vinogradova, who will capture the artist’s experience within the community in written form. Laura Vinogradova writes prose and experiences the world. For several years now, she has been leading creative writing classes for children and adults.

Space in the workshop is limited, and registration is required by calling or emailing Lība Bērziņa – phone: 28 649 014.
