Guest Lectures, Workshops and Exhibition “Craft + Design”

This project by the Liepāja Music, Art and Design High School brings together traditional craft skills and contemporary design thinking, with a focus on using resources responsibly. It explores how craft knowledge can be transformed into modern design solutions.

Students, working alongside craft workers, mentors and international guest lecturers, will explore the transformation of traditional materials into contemporary design solutions. Public lectures and creative workshops take place in March, followed by the project’s exhibition in April. In autumn, a travelling exhibition will present the results outside Latvia, sharing the project with an international audience.
