“Discover Cultural Heritage” offers masterclasses that provide an authentic experience of traditional practices. From May to September 2027, workshops take place at the “SERDE” residence centre and the Bandava cultural venue, creating an open platform for exploring cultural heritage.

Based on materials gathered during SERDE field trips, the masterclasses explore three old-school traditions: stone‑beer brewing, where they boil up the wort in wooden vats using red-hot stones straight out of the fire; pottery, showing you how to shape clay by hand the ancient way or take a spin on the wheel; ancient dishes, where you get to sample historical recipes from South Kurzeme.
