Liepāja Animation Days “Image. Sound. Story”

Liepāja Animation Days is a cycle of events focused on animation as a brilliant way to tell a story and blend moving pictures with sound. The programme offers an opportunity to discover animation from all the angles, celebrating the sheer imagination that goes into mixing art, noise, and narrative.

The event cycle includes film screenings, practical workshops, chats with industry professionals, and educational sessions for all ages that shine a light on classic Latvian animation and how it mirrors in the international context.

From 17 September through to 7 November, the Net House at the “Kursa Quarter” is putting on the “Latvian Animation in a European Context” exhibition. It is the first time anyone has put together a showcase this big to celebrate our local animation community, their techniques, and their place in the European family. And, from 14 to 17 October, the programme adds workshops from kids and film screenings.
