Workshop: “Circular Habits for Everyday Life and Events: The ABCs of Waste Sorting”

On 3 August 2026, from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm, a workshop titled “Circular Habits for Everyday Life and Events: The ABCs of Waste Sorting” will take place at the Liepāja Youth House (24 Kungu Street, Liepāja).

During the session, Ieva Erta, Environmental Education Expert at CleanR Group and Zaļā josta (Green Belt), will share practical ideas and advice on how to adopt circular, environmentally friendly habits in everyday life and when organising events.

The session is primarily intended for Liepāja 2027 volunteers and young people, but everyone with an interest in the topic is warmly welcome to attend. Participants will gain a better understanding of the basics of waste sorting, resource efficiency and sustainable solutions that help reduce the environmental impact of events while fostering a more responsible event culture.

During the session, you will learn:

  • how to sort waste correctly and avoid common misconceptions;
  • practical ways to save resources in everyday life and when organising events;
  • environmentally friendly solutions for planning more sustainable events.

Participation is free of charge. Please register in advance by completing the registration form.

The lecture is organised by Liepāja 2027 in collaboration with its principal partner for environmental education and sustainability, CleanR Group.
