The Liepāja 2027 International Conference “Cultural Renovation” recently brought together cultural sector representatives from across Latvia for two days at the Great Amber Concert Hall

On Wednesday, 30 October, the winning bid for the Liepāja Theatre Small Hall Extension design competition was announced at the Liepāja Theatre by the tender jury.

This reimagining of the hall’s ground-floor art space, Civita Nova, aims to make it a place for working, socializing, and participating in creative and community activities.

Liepaja Music, Art and Design Secondary School (LMMDV) has been recognized as competent and well-equipped for conducting music examinations and has become the first certified Trinity College London examination centre in the Baltic States.

The Liepāja 2027 Foundation has officially launched a tender process for the development and full implementation of the concept for a landmark concert celebrating Liepāja’s 400th anniversary.

On Saturday, 9 November, the Liepāja 2027 Foundation and the Liepāja Central Scientific Library invite all local residents and city guests to join in celebrating the library’s 247th anniversary.

During the council meeting, representatives of Liepāja 2027 reported on the status of program content development, including the utilization of allocated funding, updates on team building and event planning, and marketing and communication plans, as well as attracting sponsors and partners.

The programme is designed to actively engage young people in the cultural development of Liepāja as the European Capital of Culture 2027.
