The foundation Liepāja 2027 is expanding its team and has announced four new vacancies, inviting applications for the positions of Public Relations Specialist, Sales Specialist, Procurement Specialist and Public Participation Project Coordinator.
The Public Relations Specialist will be responsible for planning and delivering the Liepāja 2027 communication programme, creating digital content, collaborating with media and partners, organising press activities, implementing communication campaigns and analysing their results, as well as strengthening Liepāja’s image as a European Capital of Culture in Latvia and internationally. The position is full-time, with a salary of EUR 1,800 gross per month.

The Sales Specialist will be tasked with developing and maintaining cooperation with ticketing partners, attracting new partners and building long-term relationships, as well as preparing ticket sales plans and discount policies for Liepāja 2027 events. The role includes organising direct sales to institutions, groups and tour operators, ensuring the circulation of promotional materials, working closely with the tourism and hospitality sector and tourist information centres, and analysing market data and customer feedback. The position is full-time, with a salary of EUR 1,600 gross per month.

The Procurement Specialist will oversee and manage Liepāja 2027 procurement processes in full compliance with the Public Procurement Law and the organisation’s internal regulations, as well as participate in the work of procurement committees. The role also involves conducting procedures outside the scope of the Public Procurement Law (price surveys and market research), providing professional support to colleagues, planning and supervising procurement procedures related to programme projects, and ensuring procurement planning and reporting within co-financed projects. This is a full-time position with a salary of EUR 1,800 gross per month.

The Public Participation Project Coordinator will plan and implement neighbourhood and community-strengthening initiatives to support the objectives of Liepāja 2027. The Coordinator will oversee community engagement in programme projects, develop and implement action plans, maintain close cooperation with local communities, NGOs and public authorities, and coordinate activities that promote public participation. The role also includes contributing to externally funded project development and implementation, preparing related documentation and ensuring timely delivery of assigned tasks. This is a part-time position with a salary of EUR 800 gross per month.
