The Liepāja 2027 Foundation is seeking a Lawyer and a Volunteer Coordinator Assistant to join its team.
We are looking for a Lawyer who will help ensure the implementation of projects under the European Capital of Culture – Liepāja 2027 programme in full compliance with regulatory requirements, providing comprehensive legal support for the organisation’s work. The role includes preparing and reviewing contracts, regulations, agreements and other legal documents, assessing legal risks and making recommendations for their mitigation, advising the team on the application of laws and regulations, monitoring changes in legislation, and providing legal support on matters related to public procurement processes as required. The gross monthly salary for this full-time, in-person position in Liepāja is EUR 1,800. The position is offered on a fixed-term contract until the end of 2027.

We are also looking for a Volunteer Coordinator Assistant to support the implementation of the volunteer programme by coordinating volunteer involvement in projects forming the Liepāja 2027 European Capital of Culture programme. The role includes recruiting and selecting new volunteers, maintaining the volunteer database, organising and leading volunteer meetings and training sessions, managing and supervising volunteers, implementing activities aimed at motivating volunteers, cooperating with other European Capitals of Culture on experience-exchange and volunteer-related activities, coordinating long-term volunteers participating in the European Solidarity Corps, preparing documentation concerning volunteer involvement, and updating the volunteer handbook. The gross monthly salary for this part-time position is EUR 700. The role is hybrid, combining in-person work in Liepāja with remote work, and is offered on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027.
