Photo Campaign “One Day in Liepāja”

In 2026, Liepāja will host an exhibition featuring historical photographs from the “One Day in Latvia” campaigns (1987, 2007), alongside selected works from the plein air event held as part of the Liepāja 2027 programme.

The project will culminate on 27 August 2027 with One Day in Liepāja – a large-scale photo campaign inviting professional and amateur photographers to document everyday life, people, architecture, and key moments across Liepāja, Kuldīga, and the South Kurzeme region. Plans are underway to expand the initiative by welcoming European photographers to join.

The campaign will result in a specially designed book, compiling the most significant works to create a lasting legacy of the city during its year as European Capital of Culture.
