The 4th Kurzeme Culture Forum “Cultural Growth: People”

On 10 September 2026, the 4th Kurzeme Culture Forum, “Cultural Growth: People”, will take place at Kazdanga Parish Culture Centre.

The Kurzeme Culture Forum has become an annual regional event bringing together cultural professionals and enthusiasts to inspire one another, learn about the latest developments in the sector, strengthen cooperation and discuss current issues in cultural development.

Cultural growth is a process of continuous development, growth and transformation. This year, the forum focuses on people, as people are at the heart of everything. We are cultural professionals – those who think, explore, inspire and create. It is also about the visitor – someone who experiences and engages with culture as a consumer, co-creator and a voice expressing attitudes and opinions.
Times change, as do the ways in which culture is experienced, consumed and perceived, while technology continues to advance – yet the human being remains.
This year’s forum will differ from previous editions by offering a wider range of activities. The programme will feature experience-sharing sessions, inspiring addresses, engaging and informative mini-lectures, discussions and think tanks.
