Informational Seminar on the Liepāja 2027 Open Call

The Liepāja 2027 Foundation welcomes interested organisations to join the informational seminar on the preparation and submission of project applications for the open co-financing competition to implement cultural events under the Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027 programme. The seminar will take place on Monday, 18 May, at 16:00 via Zoom online platform.
During the session, participants will receive guidance on application eligibility and evaluation criteria. The process of preparing project documentation will be explained in full, and practical advice will be shared on how to carry out projects successfully and prepare the required post-project reports. Attendance is free of charge. Those wishing to participate, please register by 17 May using the application form.
As previously announced, the Liepāja 2027 Foundation has launched an open co-financing competition for events within the Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027 programme, with the aim of adding more contemporary, high-quality cultural content to the “(un)rest” programme. Applications may be submitted under seven Liepāja 2027 project frameworks: “Opening”, “Europe Day”, “Nordic Solstice”, “No More Heavy Metal”, “At the Happy Table”, “Poetry Day” and “Youth Forum”. Each project has defined activity areas and corresponding co-financing amounts.
The total co-financing available under the competition is €433,000. Applications may be submitted by organisations registered as legal entities in the Enterprise Register of the Republic of Latvia. Applicants must be private companies or organisations and may not be state or local government institutions.
Project applications must be submitted by 16 June 2026 at 23:59 Latvian time, by e-mail to birojs@liepaja2027.lv and anna.liga.ermansone@liepaja2027.lv.
