Animation Programme for Young People: “Loops and Films”

The final day turns its attention to the next generation, focusing on animation in partnership with the Latvian Animation Association and their animation programme “Loops and Films”. The morning starts with an animation loop workshop for teens led by Edmunds Jansons (director at Atom Art studio), with the young creators’ work screened during a dedicated lecture on how loops make magic on screen.

The afternoon part includes a programme of international animated films for young people and adults about the relationship between sound and image under the title “Repetitions and Loops in Contemporary Authorial Animation”. The selection will include five to six works by international filmmakers.
