Opportunity to apply for an artist residency in Venice, Italy

The contemporary art foundation Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa invites young artists to apply for an open call for a five-week residency in Venice, Italy. Two artists will be selected to live and create work in the historic spaces of Palazzo Carminati. The residency is scheduled to take place from 14 September to 19 October 2026.

Funding and conditions

  • Application deadline: 30 June 2026.
  • Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years of age.
  • Each selected artist will receive a €4,000 grant, which covers all residency-related costs, including the production of artworks.
  • Accommodation and working space will be provided at Palazzo Carminati in Venice.

The residency is part of the European Union project CreArt 3.0 #STRINGING_TOGETHER, which promotes artistic exchange and collaboration between European cities. The Liepāja 2027 Foundation is a project partner.
