Invitation to Liepāja 2027 Capacity Building Seminar on Personal Development for Professional Excellence
The Liepāja 2027 Foundation (Liepāja 2027) iswelcoming public to the fourth session of the seminar series on PersonalDevelopment for Professional Excellence.
This time, the seminar “Critical Self-Analysis” willtake place on Friday, 24 May 2024 at 11:00 in the Kuldīga Art House, 1905. gadaiela 6, Kuldīga
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Phil. ĢirtsJankovskis, community outreach specialist at Liepāja 2027, author of the “DemocracyCafé” idea, board member of the “Democracy Foundation,” co-owner of theresearch company “Mozokot,” and co-author of several books.
The seminar will explore the significance ofself-awareness and personal growth barriers. We will engage in various taskswithin the urban environment of Kuldīga, analysing cultural projects throughdiverse perspectives.

As announced earlier, this seminar series formsa vital component of the Liepāja 2027 capacity building platform, aimed atempowering local organizations and individuals from the Creative Land of(Un)Rest (Liepāja, South Kurzeme and Kuldīga Regions) with the requisiteknowledge and skills to effectively execute projects under the European Capitalof Culture 2027 program. Monthly sessions covering various topics arescheduled, with the final seminar of this cycle, titled “Power and Capacity,” slatedfor 14 June at Liepāja beach.

LMMDV will implement the “Craft + Design” project as part of the Liepāja 2027 programme
The aim of the project is to foster creative collaboration between LMMDV students, local craftspeople, and international designers, resulting in design prototypes based on locally sourced, environmentally friendly materials and traditional techniques, while exploring their contemporary interpretations.
In the CreArt project, students in Liepāja schools are learning photography and printmaking techniques
From December 3 to 12, the CreArt Contemporary Art in Schools project continued at Liepāja Piemares Primary School. During the workshops led by artist Maija Demitere, students gained hands-on experience in photography, digital image editing, and printing techniques.
