The “Midsummer on the Farm” Movement

The “Midsummer on the Farm” movement welcomes everyone wanting to mark the summer solstice the authentic way, soaking up living traditions and the sheer joy of good company. Farmsteads across South Kurzeme and the Kuldīga region are flinging their doors wide open, inviting people to pitch up and get stuck into proper seasonal customs.

You can lend a hand prepping the festive feast, sing and dance your heart out to traditional tunes, gather wildflowers, and get the lowdown on old-school Midsummer rituals. The whole idea is to bring the magic of these rituals back to life, shine a light on the local folklore, and get us all back in tune with the wheel of the year.
