“Rock the Rock” Programme at the “Summer Sound” Festival

“Rock the Rock” is a unique cultural affair that bridges music, documentary film, and a series of lectures, shining a spotlight on the rich history of Latvian rock music and its ties to European cultural shifts. The main stage action unfolds at the “Summer Sound” festival over in Seaside Park, whilst the “Rock the Rock” documentary flicks and talks will take up residence at the “Wiktorija” culture house.

The event celebrates the true spirit of rebellion knitted into rock music, highlighting its role in pushing for social freedom, self-expression, and intellectual awakening both in Latvia and across the globe. Festival visitors are invited to experience the breadth of rock – from heavy metal to indie, punk and experimental forms.
