Pāvilosta Summer Culture Festival

In summer 2027, Pāvilosta hosts the Pāvilosta Summer Culture Festival, organised by the VV Foundation. Each summer month features a weekend programme combining contemporary art, music and poetry with local traditions.
Evening concerts, performances and poetry readings bring together Latvian and international artists. Themed walks led by artists from the Pāvilosta Artists’ Residence and Latvian cultural professionals offer a contemporary view of Pāvilosta’s history, landscape and traditions.

It is all about building bridges between visiting artists, the local community, and the town’s rich roots. And for the magic not to vanish into thin air when the festival ends, the VV Foundation is capturing the stories from the walks to turn them into digital trail guides in both Latvian and English. They will be completely free for anyone to use, so you can explore Pāvilosta’s hidden gems all year round.
