“No More Heavy Metal” Music and Art Festival

At the height of summer, Liepāja’s extending an invitation to hit the brakes, pause the daily grind, and get a taste of the New Bauhaus ethos – making things beautiful, sustainable, and together – all set against industrial backdrop and nature. Across the weekend, the whole area bursts into life with contemporary circus, workshops, and street art, rediscovering our urban playground through plays and togetherness.

As night falls, the mood takes a turn. Experimental beats and electronic music from homegrown and international talent fill the old steelworks, creating an audiovisual feast where the ghost of heavy “Liepājas Metalurgs” steelworks meets brand-new soundscapes.

Through dance, art, and pure togetherness, the festival bids a fond farewell to the city’s heavy industrial past, raising a glass to Liepāja as a place for teaming up, looking forward, and growing green.
