Kuldīga Region Residency for Creative Authors “Notes on the Margins”. Project cluster “Territory of the Dream”

The international creative artists’ residency “Notes on the Margins” focuses on the interaction between contemporary culture and historical heritage across the parishes and towns of Kuldīga region, highlighting locally cherished cultural gems.

Throughout the residency, artists will spend a month living right in the heart of the community, embedding themselves in the local landscape across various spots in the municipality. Drawing inspiration from local tales, traditions, and experiences, they create new works bridging modern artistic expression and local history.

Six creative minds are part of this residency throughout August, which will conclude with the public programme on 24 and 25 September across the various residency host sites. It’s a great opportunity to discover the new artworks, peek behind the curtain at the creative process, and artists’ interpretations of each location.
