It’s time for the Liepāja 2027 Youth Programme participants to present their ideas!

Everyone is welcome to join the presentation event on Saturday, May 10, from 12:00 at the Wiktorija Culture House!

Six youth teams will present six carefully developed event concepts, competing for the grand prize — €1000 to bring their team’s idea to life!

The aim of the Youth Programme is to promote active youth involvement in shaping and implementing the Liepāja European Capital of Culture 2027 programme. It offers 30 motivated young people from Liepāja, South Kurzeme (Dienvidkurzeme), and Kuldīga regions the opportunity to participate in the development of various cultural projects and events.

During the pilot project, which took place from October 2024 to May 2025, the participants not only gained valuable knowledge and skills but also acquired hands-on experience working with several cultural organisations.

The programme is implemented by Liepāja 2027 in cooperation with the organisations “Attīstības platforma YOU+”, “Izgaismo ideju” from South Kurzeme (Dienvidkurzeme), and the active youth association “Sprādziens” from Kuldīga.
