The international cast‑iron art symposium in Aizpute brings a band of professional sculptors together to craft striking ironworks and push the boundaries of the casting process. The fiery smelting and pouring of molten iron is a public affair, offering a front-row seat to a right dramatic spectacle right on the banks of the River Tebra.
The whole endeavour aims at carving fresh paths for art and public education, fostering international ties, hosting creative residencies, debates, and a grand finale showcase – building a real bridge between artists and local people.
