“Locus Mundi” is an international art initiative where artists engage with Liepāja’s history and consider the city’s transformation in a contemporary context. The exhibition offers fragmented yet connected paths that prompt reflection on space, time and geography, exploring how the spirit of a place interacts with global processes.

The exhibition mixes new works and historical references, allowing visitors to imagine Liepāja as a crossroads of culture and migration. Participating artists include Alina Bliumis, Ēriks Božis, Ieva Epnere, Inga Erdmane, Ieva Rubeza, Krišs Salmanis, Liene Pavlovska, Valdis Celms, Antons Vidokle, Saule Suleimenova, Joan Jonas, Nikita Kadan, Raids Kalniņš, Bojana Piškur and others.

The programme also includes performances, discussions, symposia, creative workshops and research activities within the museum’s collections.
