“Faktu formula” is an entertaining and educational quiz series taking place in Liepāja, South Kurzeme and Kuldīga municipalities. The series will feature 15 interactive and engaging quiz events at various locations, involving young people aged 14 to 30 and promoting media literacy, critical thinking and civic participation.
During the games, teams will answer questions on a variety of topics using special technical equipment designed for the quiz. Each game will consist of 10 rounds, with 8 questions in different formats (text, images and video) in each round. The questions will cover topics such as democracy, media literacy, the European Union, European values and more.
At the end of the project, the quiz content will be digitised and published on an online platform, making it possible to use the material in schools and youth centres both in Latvia and abroad.
The project combines education and entertainment, making the learning experience engaging while encouraging young people’s interest in social processes, media content and information analysis.

The project “Fact. Fiction and Democracy” is implemented with the financial support of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Latvia. Its aim is to strengthen media literacy, critical thinking and democratic participation, with a particular focus on recognising disinformation and fake news.
