Plan your trip:

The horizon of the Baltic Sea marks the outer edge of what we know, constantly tempting dreamers, peace-seekers, and opportunity-hunters alike, as the coastal breezes echo deep within our soul.

Taking its cue from that split-second, involuntary bodily twitch as you drift off to sleep – a sensation nearly all of us know all too well – the exhibition “(Un)awake: Hidden Horizons” uses that floating twilight zone between slumber and awareness as its launching pad.

Curators Raimundas Malašauskas and Zane Onckule have brought together works by international artists across sound, scent, movement, video and spatial installation international artists at the Liepāja Museum. The exhibition invites people to feel the body as a finely calibrated instrument – one that can chart a steady course through its surroundings, even amidst the shifting sands of an age defined by instability and (un)rest.
