The European Capital of Culture takes part in the non-conference “(De)coding Sustainability”
Today, Riga Technical University’s Liepāja Academy, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice’s Corporate Governance Advisory Board, is hosting the non-conference “Decoding (De)coding Sustainability.” The event aims to promote practical action and knowledge exchange on implementing sustainability, risk, and strategic management across various sectors — education, culture, and business.
Marketing manager Zita Lazdāne shared the story of “Liepāja — European Capital of Culture 2027” in the context of sustainability.
The event serves as a platform to seek solutions and opportunities based on existing experience and challenges, helping Latvia move from plans to real results and sustainable development
LMMDV will implement the “Craft + Design” project as part of the Liepāja 2027 programme
The aim of the project is to foster creative collaboration between LMMDV students, local craftspeople, and international designers, resulting in design prototypes based on locally sourced, environmentally friendly materials and traditional techniques, while exploring their contemporary interpretations.
In the CreArt project, students in Liepāja schools are learning photography and printmaking techniques
From December 3 to 12, the CreArt Contemporary Art in Schools project continued at Liepāja Piemares Primary School. During the workshops led by artist Maija Demitere, students gained hands-on experience in photography, digital image editing, and printing techniques.
