12. February, 2026

Sculptural artists are invited to apply for the SERDE Artist Residency in Aizpute, which will take place from 27 July to 9 August 2026. The residency forms part of the 22nd International Cast Iron Art Symposium and the programme of Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027.

Artists will have the opportunity to gain practical experience of working with cast iron, including mould preparation and sculpture casting. The iron casting process will take place on the banks of the River Tebra and will be open to the general public.

Selected artists will be provided with accommodation, access to workshops and tools, professional consultations, and materials.

Applications are open until 31 March and must be submitted by completing the online form.

The residency is supported by the State Culture Capital Foundation and Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027.
