On 23 May, as part of the International Museum Night celebrations, the youth-organised adventure walk “Night Mission –Secrets of Kuldīga” took place in Kuldīga. Its aim was to encourage young people’s interest in the Kuldīga District Museum and the region’s cultural heritage by offering an engaging and interactive adventure throughout the town.
A total of 17 teams took part in the event, with each team consisting of between three and six participants. Teams had the opportunity to explore Kuldīga’s history and culture by completing a variety of physical, creative and problem-solving challenges at different stations across the town. The activities encouraged participants to work together, think creatively and discover Kuldīga from a fresh perspective.
At the end of the evening, all teams gathered in the courtyard of the Kuldīga District Museum’s collection storage facility for the awards ceremony, accompanied by a DJ. Three teams were recognised for their outstanding performance in the challenge stations: “Pus Eiro” claimed first place, “Foršie” finished in second place, and “Pelmeņi” secured third place overall. The award for the most thoughtful and creative team presentation was presented to “Mežoņi”.
The organisers would like to express their gratitude to the event supporters – “Mcdizains”, “Red Bull”, “Rezidence Café”, “Celms Maize”, “Goldingen Room” and “Kursas Zeme” – for their contribution to the successful delivery of the event and for providing prizes for participants.
