Young people invited to apply for the Summer Academy in Liepāja

Liepāja 2027 continues to implement the project “Fact. Fiction and Democracy” and invites young people aged 14 to 30 to apply for the Summer Academy, which will take place in Liepāja on 22 and 23 August. The training sessions will take place at the Promenade Hotel.

During the two-day programme, young people will join experts from a range of fields to discuss career development and self-presentation, security and international relations, as well as media literacy, disinformation and critical thinking. The Academy will conclude with a discussion and a quiz organised by the association Faktu Formula.

The project “Fact. Fiction and Democracy” is implemented with the financial support of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Latvia. Its aim is to strengthen media literacy, critical thinking and democratic participation, with a particular focus on recognising disinformation and fake news.
