European Capital of Culture 2027 team together with the Liepāja Society of the Blind invites you to an educational seminar dedicated to raising awareness among event organisers about the principles of inclusive environment and inclusive practices in the organisation of events and activities.
The seminar will take place on Tuesday, 7 April, on the 2nd floor of the Liepāja Society of the Blind, at Ganību Street 197/205, and will last approximately two hours with a two-part workshop – theoretical and practical.
The session will be led by Māris Ceirulis, Head of the Liepāja Society of the Blind.
The programme of the Liepāja European Capital of Culture 2027 Bid sets out that until 2028 we will be focusing on how to create, develop and deliver the programme events so that everyone feels welcome, can easily follow what is happening and fully enjoy the experience of each event. One of the objectives of the programme also includes reducing mobility barriers by making cultural infrastructure physically and psychologically accessible to everyone.
We welcome event producers, organisers, technical and administrative staff to learn new skills to organise inclusive events, which can then be put to real use when implementing cultural and social events.
