The City of Valladolid invites emerging artists to submit projects for the “CreaVA 2026” festival

The city of Valladolid, Spain, has announced an open call and invites illustrators, photographers, and new media artists to submit their projects for the 13th edition of the “CreaVA 2026” festival, which will take place from April 24 to May 30, 2026.

Each year, diverse projects by emerging artists are presented in various locations across the city, including shops, bars, cinemas, and other venues. Around 20 artists and exhibition spaces participate in the event each edition. On the opening day, visitors have the opportunity to explore the cultural venues with a guided tour.

Funding and conditions

  • Application deadline: January 18
  • Who can apply: Illustrators, photographers, and new media artists up to 40 years old from the “CreArt” network
  • Artist fee: €500 per participant
  • Residency support: Travel expenses, accommodation, and production costs for the newly created artwork
