Team leaders of the Liepāja 2027 volunteer program are learning new skills

Gaišā, modernā telpā ar koka sijām un stiklotām sienām redzama cilvēku grupa, kas piedalās radošā darbnīcā vai neformālā mācību pasākumā. Dalībnieki, pārsvarā sievietes, stāv nelielās grupās un sarunājas, turot rokās telefons vai piezīmes. Priekšplānā redzama dalībniece sarkanā džemperī ar uzrakstu “Brīvprātīgais / Volunteer”. Telpā valda silta un draudzīga atmosfēra, fonā redzami plakāti, grāmatas un augi, radot mājīgu un radošu vidi.

To support the personal growth and skill development of Liepāja 2027 volunteers, a training session for volunteer team leaders was held on October 18, focusing on information-gathering techniques and team-building methods. The training was led by non-formal education trainer Staņislavs Babins.

The “Mission (un)rest” volunteer program of Liepāja 2027 already includes 93 dedicated members who provide vital support for the implementation of the Liepāja 2027 program. Thank you to everyone who contributes and wants to be part of our (un)rest story!

The conference will take place on 4 November 2026, from 9:00 to 18:30, at the Great Amber Concert Hall in Liepāja, and will turn its attention to socially engaged contemporary art practices and to collaboration with the many communities that live in, and help shape, the city.
