Opportunity for artists to join Oulu2026 – European Capital of Culture program
The city of Oulu, Finland, invites visual artists to apply for an open call to present an exhibition at Galleria MABD during the 2026 European Creativity Month. The exhibition will run from 6–31 May 2026, with the opening on 5 May 2026.
Galleria MABD is a private gallery located in the center of Oulu and is part of the Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture program, which focuses on fostering international collaboration and engaging the public with the arts. The exhibition aims to introduce Oulu residents and visitors to contemporary European art during European Creativity Month.
Funding and Terms
- Application deadline: 5 January 2026
- Eligibility: Visual artists or artist groups from the “CreArt” network
- Artist fee: €500 (gross)
- Residency support: €53/day per diem, travel expenses, and one week of accommodation during exhibition setup and opening
