Cultural Breakfasts Bring Together Youth and Cultural Leaders in Kuldīga
On Wednesday, 18 February, the Kuldīga Youth House hosted the traditional Cultural Breakfasts organised by the foundation Liepāja 2027, bringing together representatives of the cultural sector, young people, and active members of the community from Kuldīga and the surrounding area.
On this occasion, the focus of the event was on young people – as an important target audience, bearers of creative ideas, active contributors, and equal partners in shaping and developing cultural life. During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to get to know one another, exchange experiences, and gain a better understanding of the active young people and cultural sector representatives of the Kuldīga region who are already involved in implementing various initiatives.
Throughout the event, particular attention was devoted to strengthening mutual cooperation and generating new ideas. By working in focus groups, engaging in discussions, and taking part in various joint activities, participants outlined future plans, explored potential avenues for collaboration, and listened to one another’s perspectives on the development of culture in the region. The role of young people in shaping cultural initiatives was also emphasised, encouraging them to become more actively involved and to put forward their own ideas.
At the heart of the Liepāja 2027 programme lies the conviction that the involvement of young people in cultural processes is essential for fostering an educated, creative, and strong next generation of cultural leaders across the land of (un)rest. Such meetings not only promote dialogue between different groups within society but also encourage young people to become active co-creators of culture, contributing through their ideas and initiatives to a diverse and vibrant cultural environment.
