
Artists, photographers, and new media creators are invited to apply for the Kaunas AiR residency

Kaunas invites 4 visual artists from CreArt 3.0 network cities to participate in an artist residency from May 5 to June 15, 2025.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a creative environment, drawing inspiration from the city’s culture and vibrant art community.
The residency offers:
- Free accommodation at the guesthouse “Domus Pacis” in the heart of Kaunas.
- Studio space for painters and support for other fields of art.
- Financial support: €600 grant and €300 for materials.
- Reimbursement of travel expenses up to €400.
During the residency, artists will:
- Connect with local artists and participate in networking events.
- Open their studios to visitors.
- Take part in a group exhibition and its opening ceremony.
Who can apply?
- Artists born or living in CreArt 3.0 cities (including Liepaja). Preference will be given to painters, photographers, and new media artists.
- Applicants must have an academic degree in art or equivalent professional experience.

The Liepāja 2027 Foundation is opening applications for an international youth training and mentoring programme for the 2025/2026 academic year, aimed at young people aged 14 to 24 from Liepāja, South Kurzeme and Kuldīga.

Liepāja 2027 Announces an International Competition for Co-Financing Cultural Events
To enrich the programme of Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027 with innovative, cross-sectoral, contemporary and outstanding cultural events, hence boosting the international cooperation, the Liepāja 2027 Foundation is launching an open international competition for the co-financing of cultural and artistic initiatives. The deadline for submissions is 10:00 a.m. (EEST/Latvian time) on 10 September 2025.
