From October 27 to November 11, workshops for the project “CreArt Contemporary Art in Schools” continued at Liepāja Rietumkrasts Secondary School. Under the guidance of artist Maija Demitere, students explored one of the oldest photo printing techniques — cyanotype.
On Monday, November 10, in Grobiņa, at the Great Hall of the South Kurzeme Municipality Council, the Liepāja 2027 Foundation held an informational seminar about the cultural tourism co-financing competition “Land of (un)rest, Tell Us Stories!”. The event was attended by 63 participants.
On Saturday, 8 November, the Liepāja 2027 Foundation launched the second season of its international youth training and mentoring programme for the 2025/2026 academic year. This year, 24 young people from Aizpute, Grobiņa, Krote, Kuldīga, Nīca, Priekule, and Liepāja have joined the programme.

From 7 to 9 November, the European Choral Association (ECA) held its General Assembly, “Membership Weekend 2025”, in Girona, Spain. Alongside the Song Festival Association, Diāna Daiva Priediena, Executive Producer of Liepāja 2027, also participated in the event.
The goal of the residency open call is to invite artists to innovate and develop impressive installations for subarctic conditions, and create an art piece for the official art program of the Frozen People festival 2026. The residency will take place from January 28 to March 3, 2026. Application deadline: December 12.
