Kuldīga Region Residency for Creative Authors “Notes on the Margins”

The creative authors’ residency in Kuldīga Region has been established to support and inspire artistic practice and cultural research within the municipality. The programme focuses on the intersection of contemporary culture and historical heritage in rural parishes, paying close attention to locally significant cultural artefacts, both tangible and intangible.

By inviting professionals from the creative industries to engage with this heritage, the residency fosters new artistic creations while bringing professional art and cultural events to the region. Over the course of two years, participants will explore, research, and interact with the cultural landscape of the parish, highlighting the relevance of contemporary culture in everyday life for local residents.
