Performance: “The Lunch That Never Happened”
SU 21-02-2027
The Baltic Sea offers both spiritual and physical care to everyone living along the coast. But after years of reckless management, it has become one of the most polluted seas on the planet. Naturally, we cannot solve climate problems on our own.
At the 2027 Sea Festival in Liepāja, we are bringing together artists and activists to air their concerns and share their visions for a brighter tomorrow – through amazing flying high-flyers in the shape of giant kites. Also, at the “Liepāja 2027” stand, families with kids can learn about new research about Baltic Sea ecology through play, discovering practical tips to green up their own backyards. To top it all off, Japanese artist Yui Inoue / 井上 唯 is teaming up with the “SPIRAL” art centre in Japan to serve up a visual treat – a special installation celebrating the true grit, spirit, and traditional materials of our local community.
