From 9 to 15 August 2027, Liepāja will host one of Europe’s largest amateur choir festivals – the 22nd International Choir Music Festival “Europa Cantat”, welcoming around 3,000 singers from across the globe.
During the festival, Liepāja is going to be buzzing with concerts and sing-alongs, opening and closing events, and performances by guest artists. Participants will join 35 masterclasses, having the privilege of learning a rich repertoire of genres, guided by the talents of outstanding conductors. This unique opportunity isn’t just about music; it’s about fostering cultural exchange, deepening friendships, and expanding musical horizons.
The festival aims to celebrate and advance the amateur choir movement, fostering shared musical experiences, international exchange, and reinforcing Liepāja’s role as a central hub for European cultural events.
