Environmental art installations in Aizpute and Kuldīga will form part of the lasting legacy of Liepāja 2027 – European Capital of Culture. They interpret the story of (un)rest, highlight regional identity and encourage cultural dialogue across Kurzeme, enriching the programme with contemporary environmental art rooted in place.

The installations inspire us at the urban environment from a different angle, drawing attention to this place, its stories and the people. Installations will remain in public space long‑term, becoming part of the cultural landscape of both towns.
