“Ensemble Intercontemporain”, one of the world’s leading contemporary‑music ensembles, is making its Latvian debut. The programme centres on a new work by Latvian visionary composer Linda Leimane, commissioned especially for Liepāja – the ensemble’s first commission from a Latvian composer. The concert also includes works by Claude Vivier, Anna Thorvaldsdottir and a new percussion piece by Enno Poppe. After taking Liepāja by storm, this exciting programme heads straight for Paris.
