An opportunity for ceramic artists to apply for a residency in Portugal

CreArt Network of Cities for Artistic Creation invites visual artists from Liepāja to apply for an Artist in Residence in Aveiro, Portugal, taking place from May 16 to June 13, 2025, as part of the 17th International Biennale of Artistic Ceramics of Aveiro.

Two selected artists will work in a local ceramic factory, focusing on ceramic tile and plate design and innovation.

  • Their final works will be presented at the Biennale (Oct 18, 2025 – Jan 18, 2026) and published in a catalogue.
  • Priority is given to artists with experience or education in ceramics. No age limit.
  • Each artist will receive a €2000 grant, production costs will be covered, and accommodation in central Aveiro will be provided.

Application deadline: April 27
