CreArt 3.0 is an international network connecting medium‑sized European cities to support contemporary art. It promotes mobility, runs 45 artist-in-residence (AiR) programmes across 13 countries, and provides a platform for emerging artists, curators and cultural organisers to boost their careers.
Four public exhibitions were implemented across Liepāja alongside residencies for six visiting international artists. The pieces forged during these stays went on to add the colour to the local highlights – including such festivals as “UPDATE 2024”, the “Sea Festival 2025”, and the “Lāčplēsis Garden Festival 2026” – while also giving a boost to grassroots education programmes and travel opportunities for local talent. A lasting testament to what the younger generation can do, Kristaps Tinte’s mural “Haven of Grace” is still painted large over at Peter’s Market for all to see. Curated by Ieva Rubeze.
