“At the Happy Table” Festival of Conversation and Gastronomy

“At the Happy Table” is an event right in the heart of Liepāja – Peter’s Market – bringing back the fine old tradition of breaking bread together and turning the market a place where conversations, stories and community naturally gather. It’s a delightful spread of heartfelt, creative, and socially minded activities designed to help people spot the quick wit of their neighbours and feel the magic of coming together as one.

Gathering around the table and cooking the shared meal does wonders for the spirit, health, and vitality. Through this joyful feast of conversation and gastronomy, locals and city guests are invited to pull up a chair, and explore food, culture, and leisure. It’s an invitation to ponder not just our own well-being, but also the health of our shared planet and the wise use of its resources. We will be celebrating the abundance of the harvest season with talks and chats, inventive recipes made from local produce, brought to life by Latvian chefs.
