Eco‑Art and Literature Platform “Solarpunk Castle”

“Solarpunk Castle” is a socially comprehensive artwork (Sozialgesamtkunstwerk). It is a two-week gathering of art and science celebrating our relationship with the Sun and its star role in building a green future. The project treats the Sun as the ultimate source of life, power and transformation, while also addressing climate-related challenges – scorching heatwaves, ecosystems under pressure and nature’s delicate balance at risk.

The programme brings together writers, artists, tech wizards, craftspeople, scientists, musicians, socially engaged designers and thinkers. Guest talks, performances, workshops and collaborative activities invite visitors to brainstorm and create solar-powered gadgets for a brighter tomorrow.

The literary worlds of ‘solarpunk’ and ‘hope-punk’ collide head-on in Liepāja with social design, wild experiments, and a sundowner rave right on the Baltic coast.
