LOOP² 2026 Video Art Festival Announces an Open Call for Submissions

The f|x|r Art Gallery, in collaboration with the House of Arts Veszprém, is pleased to announce the open call for the LOOP² 2026 Video Art Festival, taking place in Veszprém, one of Hungary’s most historic and picturesque cities.

This year’s LOOP festival theme, “Afterimage,” explores the enduring nature of visual perception. Marking the bicentenary of photography, the festival invites artists to engage with a phenomenon that exists at the intersection of light, time, and the act of seeing: the moment when an image is no longer physically present, yet continues to persist in perception, reappearing and continually transforming.

Funding and Conditions

• Application deadline: 15 September 2026
• In addition to the opportunity to exhibit their work at the festival, selected artists will compete for three cash prizes of HUF 300,000, HUF 200,000, and HUF 100,000, awarded respectively for first, second, and third place.
• The selected works will be exhibited at the f|x|r Gallery for two months, and the winners will be announced during the exhibition opening.
