Opportunity for environmental artists to create installations for a festival in Kaunas, Lithuania
“CreArt Kaunas” (Lithuania) in collaboration with the Kaunas Artists’ House announces an open call for environmental artists to create art installations to be placed in public spaces along the Nemunas River in Kaunas. Artworks must be made from natural, biodegradable materials and harmonize with the surrounding landscape.
The completed works will be presented at the “Let’s Celebrate the River!” festival. This community-driven festival was initiated during Kaunas – European Capital of Culture 2022.
Funding and Guidelines
- Application deadline: 25 February 2026
- Open to environmental artists from the CreArt network
- Residency support: €900 for a two-week residency in Kaunas and creation of the artwork; travel expenses up to €400; accommodation provided; materials budget up to €400
