Kaunas invites four visual artists from the CreArt 3.0 Network to participate in a six-week residency at Kaunas Artist-in-Residence (Kaunas AiR), taking place from May 4 to June 14, 2026. The program is open to painters, photographers, and new media artists.
Kaunas is the second-largest city in Lithuania, with a rich cultural life and a population of over 300,000. Located at the confluence of the Nemunas and Neris rivers, the city is a vibrant mix of history, architecture, and nature. Known as a student city with a lively cultural scene, Kaunas also hosts numerous art, sports, and community events.
Funding and Terms
- Application deadline: 2 March 2026
- Open to painters, photographers, and new media artists from the “CreArt” network.
- Residency support: travel reimbursement (up to €400), free accommodation at the centrally located guest house “Domus Pacis”, studio space, and a grant of €900 plus €300 for materials.
