Liepāja 2027 Signs Official Cooperation with Lux Express

On Tuesday, 10 September, the “Liepāja 2027” Foundation officially partnered with “Lux Express”, the largest bus company in the Baltic region, through the formal cooperation agreement.

This move is set to enhance visitor mobility and support the success of the European Capital of Culture 2027 programme’s events and activities. The agreement was signed at the Liepāja Theatre in the presence of representatives from the Liepāja City Council, “Liepāja 2027”, “Lux Express”, and members of the local culture and hospitality sectors.

“Comfortable, convenient, and high-quality access to Liepāja is crucial for organizing the extensive cultural programme of the European Capital of Culture. We're thrilled to launch this partnership with “Lux Express”, especially as we kick off a new cultural season. We are confident that this collaboration will significantly boost the success of the programme,” said Inta Šoriņa, Board Member of “Liepāja 2027”.

The partnership between “Liepāja 2027” and “Lux Express” will offer seamless and dependable bus services to Liepāja and all Lux Express destinations, with a strong focus on delivering superior comfort and quality. This collaboration aims to make it effortless for both local residents and international visitors to attend a wide range of cultural events, ultimately driving greater participation and encouraging more people to experience the vibrant cultural life of Liepāja.

All the attendees unanimously recognized that this partnership will significantly bolster Liepāja's status as a premier cultural and tourism hub in the Baltic Sea region, enhancing its visibility and appeal on both a local and international scale.

The partnership is set to last until 31 December 2027, with plans for joint activities aimed at raising the profile of both Liepāja and the European Capital of Culture programme across the Baltic region.
