Liepāja 2027 Foundation Announces Two New Job Vacancies

To drive the full implementation of the Liepāja 2027 programme and its upcoming projects, foster robust partnerships, and spearhead diverse international collaborations, the Liepāja 2027 Foundation has announced two new job opportunities – Project Director and International Project Coordinator.

The Project Director’s key responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of all projects under the Liepāja 2027 Bid Book, collaborating with programme partners, organisations, and specialists to ensure seamless project execution, and evaluating and developing innovative project proposals. Additionally, the Project Director will organise and manage open calls for new initiatives, coordinate and monitor the execution of cooperation agreements, and represent the foundation at various high-profile events. Monitoring the progress of programme projects and ensuring efficient resource utilisation for maximum impact are also essential aspects of this role.

International Project Coordinator’s key responsibilities will include coordinating the development of international projects outlined in the Liepāja 2027 Bid Book, forging partnerships with international cultural organisations, and facilitating the creation and management of dynamic international projects.

We're looking for a full-time Project Director with a salary of €2000 before tax, and a full-time International Project Coordinator offering €1800 salary before tax.

The primary mission of the Liepāja 2027 Foundation is to prepare for the milestone celebration of Liepāja's 2025 Birthday and the European Capital of Culture events in 2027. Extending up to 2028, the programme will encompass activities designed to stimulate socio-economic growth within the city. These activities will include cross-sectoral events aimed at drawing international attention, boosting tourism, and advancing the creative industries sector. Furthermore, the foundation is committed to fostering partnerships between public, private, and non-governmental sectors. To support these initiatives, the foundation will actively seek financial resources from a variety of sources, including European Union funds and private sector investments.
